First Reconciliation & First Communion

The Diocese requires a two year preparation period before the reception of First Communion.   First Communion is generally celebrated in Spring of second grade.

Second Graders must attend class in–person weekly Religious Education class or St. Rose Grammar School or the equivalent.  Sunday Mass attendance is strongly encouraged as the best preparation.

All eligible St. Rose Grammar School Students interested in making First Communion at St. Rose (parishioners and non-parishioners) by completing an application.

Special educational and spiritual days outside of the class time are required for Parent/Guardian and Child in preparation for Reconciliation and Communion.

All children baptized outside of St. Rose Parish must supply an original Baptismal Certificate.
