A call to advocacy for Catholic school inclusion in HEROES ACT funding
Please see the attached letter from Bishop O'Connell regarding important calls to make to your legislators
Reopening of our Church!
Dear Parishioners of Saint Rose, Praise be Jesus Christ! As Bishop O’Connell stated in his latest communication: “Every faithful Catholic has been eagerly anticipating the day when we will be able to reopen our churches for prayer and worship.” Now is that time! As we begin the process of opening our church again, we ask for your patience and cooperation and that you adhere to each of the directives that have been given to us by the Diocese. There will be three phases in the opening of churches in the Diocese of Trenton. On Wednesday May 13, 2020, phase one will be begin. This means that:

• Dispensation from Sunday/Holy Day obligation remains in force until further notice • No public Masses or other group liturgical/devotional celebrations until further notice • Sacramental celebrations in church (baptisms, confirmations, ordinary schedule of confessions, weddings) continue to be postponed until further notice • Live streaming of Masses without congregations to continue • The church will be open for private prayer Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. • We ask that you enter through the main doors on 7th Avenue all other doors will be locked. • Limited number of visitors at one time (no more than 10) according to NJ state guidelines and social distancing (minimum of 6 feet between visitors) to be observed • There will be pews for seating to be reserved to facilitate cleaning afterward • Wearing of masks required for all those making visits • Churches will be closed for private prayer and empty during live-streamed Masses and will be reopened for private prayer after Mass • We ask that those of our parishioners who identify as at risk groups as identified by CDC/NJ Department of Health SHOULD REMAIN HOME • Parish Center and public restrooms will remain closed.

In the coming days we will be working hard to make sure that the church is clean and safe for private prayer. Please continue to check in to our website and look for communications from our Flocknote and social media posts for updates throughout the reopening of the Diocese. This process will be one that will take time and we thank you in advance for your cooperation. We ask that you join us in prayer to our Blessed Mother asking for prayerful patience and joyful thanksgiving for the opening of our parish church. We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks!

Prayerfully,

Fr. Ed
